Meet the Team

Our Guides

Our guides know the local waters better than anyone in the valley. Our guides come from various backgrounds and experience but they all share a passion for fly fishing, conservation of our local waters, and the outdoors. With an outstanding safety record, we strive above and beyond to make your experience with us safe and fun.

KIM SEDROVIC

Kim is the owner and founder of Fernie Wilderness Adventures. Growing up in Fernie, Kim has a lifetime of guiding experience on the local waters and was the first licensed outfitter in the area. He has a passion for both fishing his home waters and guiding on them.

BRIAN LULL

Brian was born and raised fishing in Eastern Canada. After moving out west in 1994 he became a guide with Fernie Wilderness Adventures. Brian loves exploring and fishing remote new waters.

BRIAN LEES

Brian relocated from Ontario to Fernie in 2007 to pursue his passions for skiing and fishing. By 2018, he had transitioned into guiding fly fishing in the Elk Valley. Originally intending to return to school, Brian opted to forge a career in guiding, making Fernie his permanent home among the mountains. His greatest joy in fly fishing lies in sharing the mountains and rivers he knows intimately with others, introducing them to the breathtaking scenery, serene waters, and the thrill of fly fishing.

MAX BRANTER

Originally from Scotland, Max moved to Fernie in 2018 after years in the rafting industry starting in 2014, drawn by its incredible places and strong community spirit. Fishing, beginning with Scotland’s coastal waters and expanding with his discovery of fly fishing in the Elk Valley, has always been Max’s passion. During his downtime, he explores new stretches and Fernie’s backcountry. His river years have deepened his love for nature, driving his commitment to sharing pristine wilderness experiences as a guide.

LINDEN MAZZEI

He has dedicated himself to mastering the intricacies of fly fishing, spending his days exploring new waters and fishing the region’s rivers and lakes. Known for his patience, easy-going nature, and extensive knowledge, Linden diligently works to ensure his clients have a successful day on the water.
